Abstract
Pondok pesantren salafiyah-kejuruan yang berlokasi di desa Sendang
Duwur Kec. Paciran Kab. Lamonganh ini dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan
pendidikan masa kini, khususnya pendidikan agama islam dimana saat ini banyak
orang tua yang mempercayakan anak-anaknya untuk mengemban pendidikan
agama di pondok pesantren. Namun yang terjadi, persepsi orang terhadap
pesantren saat ini masih kolot, belum berkembang. Khusunya persepsi tentang
pondok salaf dimana hal yang ditekankan untuk dikaji adalah ilmu agama. Pada
obyek rancang ini fasilitas-fasilitas yang disediakan antara lain yaitu fasilitas
pendidikan, fasilitas peribadatan, fasilitas hunian, ditambah lagi fasilitas rekreasi
sebagai penunjang. Diharapkan adanya fasilitas-fasilitas tersebut dapat
meningkatkan kenyamanan serta menciptakan sistem perekonomian mandiri bagi
pengelolaan obyek tersebut nantinya. Dalam rancangannya diangkat tema
Kesatuan dalam Keberagama yang muncul dari karakter obyek tersebut. Yaitu
dimana pondok pesantren adalah wadah berkumpulnya santri-santri dari latar
belakang yang berbeda-beda menjadi satu kesatuan dengan tujuan satu yakni
mencari ilmu. Tema ini di aplikasikan dalam desain tampang bangunan serta
pemakaian material yang dipakai dengan harapan dapat mengangkat image sebuah
pesantren salafiyah yang mengkini dalam desain arsitekturalnya

Islamic Boarding School of Salafiyah – Vocational, located in Sendang
Duwur village, Paciran, Lamongan is designed to meet educational needs of the
present, especially Islamic religious education where many parents entrust their
children to take on religious education in Islamic boarding school, nowdays.
However, the perception of Islamic boarding school which is still old-fashioned
and undeveloped is a plain truth. Particularly on Salaf Islamic boarding school
which has main focus education on religion. on this design’s object facilities are
provided, such as educational facilities, religious facilities, residential facilities,
and also recreational facilities as a support. All of this facilities are expected to
make it more comfortable and also to create an independent economic system to
manage the objects on the future. unity and diversity are chosen as a design theme
which represent character of the object, Islamic boarding school is a place where
students gather from various backgrounds with the same purpose of seeking
knowledge. This theme is applied on design of facade and materials used which
is expected to make good image on architectural design of salafiyah Islamic
Boarding School
