Abstract

Jalan Tol Semarang–Demak atau Jalan Tol Semak adalah rencana jalan tol yang terbentang sepanjang 27 kilometer yang menghubungkan kota Semarang dan kabupaten Demak. Konsorsium PT PP dan Wijaya Karya keluar sebagai pemenang tender proyek tol Semarang-Demak. Pembangunan jalan tol dengan nilai kontrak sebesar Rp 3,4 triliun ini bisa dimulai pada tahun 2019 dan ditargetkan akan berlangsung selama 17 bulan. Pembangunan jalan tol ini terbagi menjadi 2 seksi yaitu seksi I di kota Semarang dan seksi II di kabupaten Demak. Tujuannya supaya meminimalisir kemacetan yang berada di jalur pantura Semarang-Demak-Surabaya dan juga untuk menuju kota wisata berada di Demak yaitu Makam Kadilangu/Sunan Kalijaga dan Masjid Agung Demak, serta juga untuk mengatasi banjir rob yang ada di sepanjang pantai utara sebagai tanggul laut penahan rob.
