Abstract

Seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman, tuntutan terhadap fleksibilitas dari breakwater untuk menjangkau berbagai area juga meningkat. Floating breakwater, sebagai alternatif dari breakwater tradisional memiliki kelebihan diantaranya adalah efisiensi biaya yang dikeluarkan seiring bertambahnya kedalaman dan memburuknya kondisi seabed. Hal ini membuat floating breakwater menjadi pilihan yang masuk akal di daerah pantai yang sebelumnya tidak memungkinkan dibangunnya fixed breakwater. Analisa tegangan mooring line perlu dilakukan untuk memastikan mooring dapat menahan floating breakwater pada tempatnya tanpa mengalami kerusakan karena beban lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati tegangan mooring yang diterima oleh floating breakwater dengan slope bergerigi berpori, mengamati pengaruh dari kondisi lingkungan, kemiringan slope dan porositas terhadap tegangan mooring yang diterima. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen yang dilakukan, kondisi lingkungan dengan tinggi dan frekuensi gelombang yangn besar merupakan kondisi yang dapat menghasilkan tegangan mooring terbesar. Dari variasi sudut slope yang digunakan, yakni 45 dan 60 derajat, sudut slope yang menghasilkan tegangan mooring terbesar adalah variasi dengan sudut slope 45 derajat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin landai sudut slope yang digunakan pada floating breakwater, maka tegangan mooring yang diterima juga akan semakin tinggi. Pada variasi porositas, tegangan mooring pada porositas 5% menghasilkan tegangan mooring yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan porositas 0%. Hal ini menunjukkan penambahan porositas mengakibatkan penurunan terhadap tegangan mooring yang diterima floating breakwater. Floating breakwater ponton sebagai acuan, menghasilkan tegangan mooring tertinggi jika dibandingkan dengan seluruh model breakwater dengan slope bergerigi berpori.

Alongside human and technological development, the flexibility of the breakwater to reach various areas are also increases. Floating breakwaters, as an alternative to traditional breakwaters, have advantages including cost efficiency as the depth increases and the seabed conditions deteriorate. This makes floating breakwaters a sensible option in coastal areas where fixed breakwaters were not previously possible. A mooring line tension analysis is necessary to ensure that the mooring can hold the floating breakwater in place without experiencing damage due to environmental loads. This study aims to observe the mooring tension received by a floating breakwater with a porous serrated slope, observe the effect of environmental conditions, the slope and the porosity to the received mooring tension. Based on the results of experiments conducted, environmental conditions with high wave height and frequencies are the condition that can produce the greatest mooring tension. From the variation of the slope angle used, namely 45 and 60 degrees, the slope angle that produces the largest mooring tension is the variation with the slope angle of 45 degrees. This shows that the more sloping angel used in the floating breakwater, the higher the mooring tension received. In the variation of porosity, the mooring tension at 5% porosity resulted in a smaller mooring tension than 0% porosity. This shows that the increases in porosity resulted in a decrease in the mooring tension received by floating breakwater. Pontoon floating breakwater as a reference, produce the highest mooring tension when compared to all breakwater models with porous serrated slopes.
