Abstract

Sungai Welang salah satu sungai besar yang berada di
Kabupaten Pasuruan yang pada saat curah hujan tinggi selalu
menyebabkan banjir. Sungai Welang memiliki DAS seluas 511,60
km2 dan panjang sungai 40,09 km1, dengan hulu berupa
pegunungan debit banjir yang dihasilkan cukup besar. Besarnya
debit banjir mengakibatkan besarnya angkutan sedimen yang
terbawa dari hulu. Diperlukannya suatu perencanaan
pengendalian banjir pada Sungai Welang, dengan tujuan
meminimalisir kerugian akibat banjir.
Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan besar debit banjir dengan
metode HSS Gamma I Q50 = 513,27 m3/dt. Volume angkutan
sedimen di Sungai Welang dari hulu sampai hilir antara
153,58m3- 19,95m3 dengan ketebalan sedimen antara 1,402m-
0,008m. Penampang eksisting Sungai Welang tidak menampung
besarnya debit banjir rencana, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan
normalisasi. Untuk stabilitas lereng, beberapa penampang
sungai, misal pada P51 lerengnya tidak mampu menahan
besarnya debit banjir yang terjadi, oleh karena itu perlu
dibangun pelindung berupa bronjong atau reventmen agar tidak
longsor.

Welang River is one of the major rivers in Pasuruan which at the
moment is always high rainfall causing flooding. The river has a
catchment area Welang 511.60 km2 and a length of 40.09 KM1
river, with headwaters in the form of flood plains that discharge
generated considerable. The magnitude of the flood discharge
magnitude resulting transport of sediment washed from upstream.
Need for a plan of flood control on the Welang River, with the
goal of minimizing losses due to flooding.
From the calculation results obtained with the method of flood
discharge HSS Gamma I Q50 = 513.27 m3/sec. The volume of
sediment transport in the Welang River from upstream to
downstream between 153.58 m3 - 19.95 m3 with thickness of
sediment between 1.402 m - 0, 008 m. Sectional existing Welang
River can not accommodate large flood discharge plan, therefore
it is necessary to normalize the river. For the stability of the
slope, some cross the river, such as the P51 cross slope was not
able to withstand the magnitude of the flood discharge, therefore
it needs to be built in the form of protective gabion or reventmen
avoid landslides.
