Abstract

Health services in the Karimunjawa Islands area are still uneven because the main
health center's location in the archipelago center makes people have to sail to
Karimunjawa Island to get services. There is only one ship to Karimunjawa Island
within a week, which sails according to the puskesmas opening hours. This results in
people outside Karimunjawa Island paying for renting a boat if they are sick outside of
that schedule. For equitable distribution of health services, an analysis of health service
planning is needed. The provision of floating health services is considered most
appropriate to the geographical conditions of the Karimunjawa Islands. This study aims
to plan a conceptual design for floating health services and analyze the Karimunjawa
Islands region's optimal operating pattern. There are 2 scenarios developed for health
services, namely mobile floating health services in scenario 1 and immobile floating
health services in scenario 2. The analysis results show that mobile health services in
scenario 1 generate a total minimum cost of IDR 1,849 million per year for 1 mobile
floating health service, with a frequency of 69 times/year and a total distance of 52.35
nm. The ship used is an LCT ship with a length (Lpp) of 25.43 m, width (B) 6.82 m,
height (H) 2.73 m, and draft (T) 1.36 m.
