Abstract

Air tawar merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang diperlukan oleh manusia. tak terkecuali orang yang sedang belayar di lautan. Meskipun tersedia pasokan air laut yang berlimpah namun mengonsumsi air laut bisa berbahaya bagi kesehatan tubuh. Pasokan air tawar yang terbatas di kapal akan menjadi masalah ketika kapal dalam kondisi darurat. Maka dari itu pada penelitian kali ini akan merencanakan desain sistem modul Atmospheric Water generator untuk diaplikasikan pada kapal tradisional pelra. prinsip kerjanya yaitu dengan cara memanfaatkan udara buang yang mengandung uap air dari rotor dessicant pada sistem pengkondisian udara untuk dikondensasi sehingga berubah fase dari gas menjadi cair. Dari hasil penelitian yang memvariasikan jumlah thermoelectric yang digunakan dan kecepatan aliran udara masuk. didapatkan hasil kondensasi terbaik yaitu 505 mL dalam 5 jam dengan menggunakan 3 thermoelectric pada kecepatan aliran udara 1 m/s. Dengan kemampuan menyerap kelembaban di udara hingga 28 %.

Fresh water is a necessity that is needed by humans. no exception for people who are sailing in the ocean. Even though there is a monitoring supply of sea water, consuming sea air can be harmful to health. The limited supply of fresh water on board will be a problem when the ship is in an emergency. Therefore, in this research, we will plan the design of the Atmospheric Water Generator module system to be applied to traditional Pelra ships. The working principle is by utilizing exhaust air containing steam air from the rotor dessicant in the air conditioning system to be condensed so that the phase changes from gas to liquid. From the research results that vary the amount of thermoelectric used and the speed of the intake air flow. obtained the best condensation result of 505 mL in 5 hours using 3 thermoelectrics at an air flow rate of 1 m / s. With the ability to absorb moisture in the air up to 28%.
