Abstract

Konteks : PT. XYZ merupakan pabrik kembang gula yang memproduksi berbagai macam permen jahe berkualitas terbaik. Untuk menjalankan proses bisnisnya PT. XYZ menerapkan Workflow Management System (WfMS) dengan menggunakan tools ProcessMaker. Penerapan WfMS diharapkan dapat menjadikan proses bisnis lebih efektif dan mudah, memberikan notifikasi kepada user, dan melakukan tracing untuk setiap aktivitasnya.
Permasalahan : Walaupun telah diterapkan sistem otomatisasi pada PT. XYZ, namum belum dilakukan analisis dan evaluasi pada penerapannya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan analisis dan evaluasi untuk mengetahui dampak dari penerapan sistem otomatisasi ini.
Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja proses bisnis perbaikan mesin produksi, melakukan evaluasi terhadap penerapan tools ProcessMaker pada proses bisnis perbaikan mesin produksi, dan memberikan rekomendasi dan saran terkait proses bisnis perbaikan mesin produksi.
Metode : Pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dan simulasi. Metode kualitatif dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi pada PT. XYZ berupa user training, kickoff project serta transfer knowledge, kemudian dilakukan wawancara, dan penyebaran kuisioner untuk pengumpulan data. Metode simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan measurement approach yang dikembangkan oleh Reijers et al.
Hasil : Hasil penelitian ini adalah saran dan rekomendasi yang dapat digunakan PT. XYZ khususnya Departemen Engineering untuk mengatasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam proses bisnis perbaikan mesin produksi, serta dapat mengukur efektifitas penggunaan WfMS di Departemen Engineering berdasarkan perbandingan waktu siklus antara sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan WfMS.
Manfaat : Penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur dan mengidentifikasi efektifitas kinerja terhadap penerapan WfMS, serta memberikan wawasan tentang hal-hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam penerapan WfMS.

Context: PT. XYZ is a confectionery factory that produces various kinds of the best quality ginger candy. To run its business process, PT. XYZ implements a Workflow Management System (WfMS) using ProcessMaker tools. The implementation of WfMS is expected to make business processes more effective and easier, provide notifications to users, and perform tracing for each activity.
Problems: Although an automation system has been implemented at PT. XYZ, however the analysis and evaluation has not been carried out on its application. Therefore, analysis and evaluation is needed to determine the impact of implementing this automation system.
Objective: This study aims to improve the performance of the production engine repair business process, evaluate the application of ProcessMaker tools in the production machine repair business process, and provide recommendations and suggestions regarding the production engine repair business process.
Methods: This research was conducted using qualitative methods and simulations. The qualitative method is done by making observations at PT. XYZ takes the form of user training, project kickoffs and knowledge transfer, then interviews are conducted, and questionnaires are distributed for data collection. The simulation method is carried out using the help of a measurement approach developed by Reijers et al.
Results : The results of this study are suggestions and recommendations that can be used by PT. XYZ, especially the Engineering Department, to solve problems related to the production machine repair business process, and can measure the effectiveness of using WfMS in the Engineering Department based on the cycle time between before and after using WfMS.
Benefits: This research can be used to measure and identify the effectiveness of performance on the implementation of WfMS, as well as provide insight into things that must be considered in implementing WfMS.
