Abstract

Berlian Jetty is one of five piers in the Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya, where four of them are Jamrud, Patchouli, Mirah, and Kalimas Pier. To meet the increasing demand for goods flow and loading and unloading and exceeding the capacity of the existing docking structure, it is necessary to plan the development of a new wharf structure designed for the type of container ship measuring 50,000 DWT. The increase in pier capacity is expected to smoothen receiving / delivery activities to and from Berlian Terminal.
In the final project, the Diamond Pier development is planned to include evaluation of the layout and stability of the external structure of the existing pier due to the development of the pier, planning of the Steel Pipe Sheet Pile (SPSP) retaining wall, planning the capping beam using local cast reinforced concrete, and planning the berthing and mooring structures (fenders and boulder).
The results of planning the development of the pier structure, obtained dredging of the wharf pool of -3.70 m, additional retaining walls are planned using Steel Pipe Sheet Pile (SPSP) measuring 1016 mm in diameter and 14.2 mm thick planted to a depth of 37.70 m from the surface of the pier floor, the dimensions of the capping beam beam measuring 3000 mm x 3300 mm. The implementation methods carried out in the field include: Demolition, SPSP pile erection, implementation of embankments, Casting Capping Beam, Installation of pier accessories.
