Abstract

Indonesia memiliki beragam kebudayaan, terutama lagu daerah. Lagu daerah memiliki ciri khas dari masing-masing daerah seperti lirik dan dialek. Perkembangan industri digital dan internet semakin cepat, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dalam menjaga kelestarian lagu daerah yang mulai tergeser oleh lagu internasional. Menjaga lagu daerah agar tetap ada sangat dibutuhkan sehingga kekayaan budaya dapat terus diwariskan ke generasi-generasi berikutnya. Pada era digital ini, film animasi menjadi media hiburan sekaligus edukasi yang disukai anak berusia 6-12 tahun. Oleh karena itu, dalam menjaga kelestarian lagu daerah, serial animasi dipilih sebagai media pengenalan/pembelajaran yang tepat untuk anak usia 6-12 tahun.
Perancangan serial animasi ini dilakukan dengan beberapa metode penelitian. Studi literatur tentang lagu daerah, animasi, dan adat Sumatera Barat. Studi eksisting untuk memperluas, menambah referensi, dan digunakan sebagai acuan dalam pembuatan karakter, environment dan teknis animasi. Kuisioner untuk mengetahui kecocokan konten yang dirancang dengan target audiens. Wawancara kepada orang tua yang memiliki anak berusia 6-12 tahun terhadap isu yang terkait. Depth interview kepada stakeholder untuk mendapatkan evaluasi terhadap konsep yang telah dibuat.
Tujuan dari perancangan serial animasi ini adalah untuk menjaga lagu daerah agar tetap ada serta mempopulerkannya kembali pada anak Sekolah Dasar. Anak Sekolah Dasar saat ini sudah mengenal dunia digital dan dapat mengakses gadget seperti smartphone dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, perancangan serial animasi dipilih sebagai sarana hiburan dan edukasi mengenai lagu daerah untuk anak usia 6-12 tahun.

Indonesia has a variety of cultures, especially folk songs. Folk songs have characteristics from each region such as lyrics and dialects. The development of the digital industry and the internet is getting faster, so that it can be used in preserving the traditional songs that are starting to be displaced by international songs. Keeping the folk songs in order to remain there is very much needed so that the cultural wealth can continue to be passed on to the next generations. In this digital era, animated films have become a popular entertainment and educational medium for children aged 6-12 years. Therefore, in maintaining the preservation of folk songs, animated series was chosen as an appropriate introduction / learning medium for children aged 6-12 years.
The design of this animated series is carried out using several research methods. Literature study on folk songs, animation, and West Sumatra customs. Existing studies to expand, add references, and be used as a reference in character creation, environment and animation techniques. Questionnaire to determine the suitability of the content designed with the target audience. Interview parents of children aged 6-12 years on related issues. Depth interviews with stakeholders to get an evaluation of the concepts that have been made.
The purpose of designing this animated series is to keep folk songs in order and to re-popularize them in elementary school children. Elementary school children are now familiar with the digital world and can access gadgets such as smartphones properly. Therefore, the design of the animated series was chosen as a means of entertainment and education about folk songs for children aged 6-12 years.
