Abstract
Danau Toba yang terletak di Provinsi Sumatera Utara, merupakan salah satu kawasan wisata di
Indonesia yang memiliki potensi tinggi, selalu ramai dikunjungi oleh wisatawan domestik
maupun mancanegara. Saat ini Danau Toba merupakan salah satu Kawsan Strategis Pariwisata
Nasional (KSPN) yang menjadi perhatian pemerintah dalam peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas
sarana maupun pra-sarana. Catamaran Restoboat diharapkan dapat menunjang Danau
Toba sebagai KSPN. Tahap desain dimulai dengan penentuan owner’s reqiurement serta
ukuran utama kapal. Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan teknis meliputi perhitungan
hambatan, pemilihan mesin utama, perhitungan berat dan titik berat, perhitungan
freeboard, analisis stabilitas, dan koreksi trim. Selanjutnya membuat Rencana Garis,
Rencana Umum, dan Desain Tiga Dimensi (3D).

Lake Toba, located in the Province of North Sumatra, is one of the tourism places in Indonesia
which is highly potential, and always crowded with visitors from domestic and foreign tourists.
Currently, Lake Toba is one of the National Tourism Strategic Areas or in Indonesian is known
as Kawasan Strategis Pariwisata Nasional (KSPN) which is the government's concern in
increasing the quantity and quality of facilities and infrastructure. Catamaran Restoboat
is expected to support Lake Toba as a KSPN. The design phase begins with the
determination of the owner’s reqiurement and the main size of the ship. Furthermore,
technical calculations include the calculation of resistance, the selection of the main
engine, calculation of weight and center of gravity, calculation of the freeboard, stability
analysis, and trim correction. The next step is to make a Line Plan, General Plan, and Three
Dimensional Design (3D).
