Abstract

Pabrik Asam Sulfat I merupakan pabrik yang bertugas untuk memenuhi kebutuhan internal asam sulfat di PT Petrokimia Gresik sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk. Pabrik ini telah beroperasi sejak Tahun 1984 dengan kapasitas 570.000 ton/tahun. Sejak Tahun 2018 sampai dengan semester pertama 2020, kuantum produksi merosot yang diikuti dengan penurunan availability pabrik karena tingginya jumlah unscheduled shut down dari Pabrik Asam Sulfat I. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisa penyebab penurunan availability dan upaya untuk meningkatkannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan diagram pareto, fishbone diagram dan FMEA. Diagram pareto menghasilkan prioritas peralatan yang menjadi penyebab dominan dari rendahnya nilai availability yaitu B-1104 (waste heat boiler), C-1302 (blower), dan acid cooler. Kemudian, dengan menggunakan fishbone diagram dan FMEA didapatkan akar masalah serta upaya perbaikan untuk meningkatkan nilai availability yang berjumlah 11 alternatif solusi.

Sulfuric Acid Plant I constitute the factory which is in charge for fulfill sulfuric acid internal needs in PT Petrokimia Gresik as raw material for producing fertilizer. This plant has operated since 1984 with production capacity 570.000 ton/year. Since 2018 until first semester of 2020, the production had been declined that followed with decreased in plant availability due to high number of unscheduled shut down from Sulfuric Acid Plant I. The purpose of this research is to analyze the causes of decreased availability and efforts to increase it. This research was conducted using Pareto diagrams, fishbone diagrams and FMEA. The Pareto diagram produces equipments priority which are the dominant causes of the low availability value, that is B-1104 (waste heat boiler), C-1302 (blower), and acid cooler. Then, by fishbone diagram and FMEA, we get the root cause of the problem and improvement efforts to increase the availability value, amounting to 11 alternative solutions.
