Abstract
UD. Indo Prima Plastik is a company engaged in the processing of plastic waste into non-food grade household products. Some processes add value in carrying out the production process, and some processes are not value-added or waste. In this study, non-value-added processes are reduced or eliminated by lean manufacturing. The company's leadership chooses lean manufacturing because the company's leadership wants to reduce processes that are not value-added but do not want to make significant overhauls, and production continues despite system changes in the company. UD. Indo Prima Plastik adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di dalam bidang
pengolahan limbah plastik menjadi produk peralatan rumah tangga non food grade.
Dalam menjalankan proses produksi, terdapat proses yang bernilai tambah dan juga
ada proses yang tidak bernilai tambah atau waste. Dalam penelitian ini, proses yang
tidak bernilai tambah dikurangi atau dihilangkan dengan lean manufacturing.
Pimpinan perusahaan memilih lean manufacturing karena pimpinan perusahaan
ingin mengurangi proses yang tidak bernilai tambah tetapi tidak ingin melakukan
perombakan secara besar serta produksi tetap berjalan meskipun terjadi perubahan
sistem dalam perusahaan. Tahap awal akan value stream mapping sebagai peta jalur
kendali sehingga segala aktifitas produksi akan tergambarkan dengan baik dan
melakukan sistem identifikasi dan eliminasi untuk menghilangkan aktifitas yang
tidak sesuai dengan capaian perushaan dan proses akhir akan dilakukan FMEA
sebagai pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 3 waste kritis
adalah Delay and Waiting; Unnecessary Motion dan Inappropriate Processing.
Akar penyebab waste kritis adalah adalah keahlian dan kemampuan pegawai, serta
kekurangan material untuk produksi.

The initial stage will be value stream mapping as a control path map so that all production activities will be well described and carry out an identification and elimination system to eliminate activities that are not in accordance with the company's achievements and the final process will be a FMEA system as problem solving. The results showed that the 3 critical wastes were Delay and Waiting, Unnecessary Motion ,and Inappropriate Processing. The root causes of critical waste are the skills and abilities of employees, as well as a shortage of materials for production.
