Abstract

Service providers or distribution companies are constantly facing the challenge of providing the best service to customers. The punctual service delivery of goods based on the preliminary estimated time agreement is considered satisfactory. The retail companies deliver various types of products to grocery stores when customers order the products through the application. Currently, deliveries are made the next day after the order is processed. However, there are obstacles encountered where customers prefer to order the product multiple times due to the limited capacity of space at the grocery store, so the customer requested their orders sent In multiple times instead at once in a predetermined period when the order processed. To resolve this problem, the Periodic Vehicle Routing Problem (PVRP) model method in managing delivery schedules and determining optimal and efficient vehicle routes time is required. This study uses 50 customers with different coordinate locations in the Capital Region of DKI Jakarta with a combination of 6 (six) visiting days period from the first up to the sixth days which resulted in a total of 29 routes and found out that this method is more efficient 10.18 hours or 19.77% of the total travel time for 6 (six) days period.
