Abstract

In this study, media analysis of the sound transmission produced by a wireless transmission system using a laser pointer was carried out. The laser used is a diode laser with a wavelength of 532nm. The variation of the media used in this study was air, water, and methylene blue water with a turbidity of 5 ppm. The sensor used as a receiver in this study is a photodiode. So that previously characterization was carried out to determine the ability of the photodiode to receive light. The research was conducted in the audiosonic frequency range, which is 20-20.000 Hz. From the research, it is found that the relationship between light intensity and distance is exponentially decreasing, with the equation 〖y =1179,8e〗^(-10,193x). The Measurement of light intensity against photodiode voltage obtained an exponential equation 〖y =5025,6e〗^(-11,88x)which is used to convert photodiode voltage to light intensity. communication uses frequency modulation, because the media does not affect the frequency but affects the shape of the signal
