Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian optimalisasi prototipe turbin ulir Arhimedes Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (PLTMH) menggunakan variasi gearbox. Rasio gearbox yang digunakan yaitu pada rasio 1,5, rasio 2, rasio 2,4, dan rasio 2,8. Debit air yang digunakan sebesar 2,91 l/s serta kemiringan head pada sudut 20°. Turbin yang digunakan memiliki 3 sudu pada generator low rpm 3 phasa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengoptimalisasikan prototipe Turbin Ulir Archimedes pada PLTMH dengan variasi gearbox, menentukan nilai RPM, torsi, tegangan, arus, dan daya, dan pengaruh dari gearbox dengan hasil pada penelitian ini. Diperoleh nilai torsi optimum ada pada rasio 1,5 sebesar (0,348 ± 0,006) Nm dan nilai RPM optimum ada pada rasio 2,8 sebesar (1019,35 ± 0,81) rotasi/menit. Dari putaran tersebut didapatkan nilai tegangan optimum pada rangkaian tanpa beban sebesar (9,34 ± 0,03) volt pada rasio 2,8. Pada rangkaian beban didapatkan arus lilstrik dan tegangan optimum pada resisitansi 0,98 kΩ sebesar (7,05 ± 0,03) mA dan tegangannya sebesar (7,11 ± 0,02) volt. Dari tegangan dan arus listrik, diperoleh daya listrik optimum sebesar (50,15 ± 0,02) mWatt pada rasio gearbox 2,8. Dari penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa variasi rasio gearbox optimum dihasilkan pada rasio 2,8.

Prototype optimization of the Arhimedes screw turbine in a Micro-hydro Power Plant (MHP) using a variation of the gearbox have been carried out. The gearbox ratio used is a ratio of 1.5, a ratio of 2, a ratio of 2.4, and a ratio of 2.8. The flowrate used is 2.91 l/s and the head tilt is at an angle of 20°. The turbine used has 3 blades on a 3 phase low rpm generator. This research was conducted to optimize the prototype of the Archimedes Screw Turbine in MHP with gearbox variation, determine the value of RPM, torque, voltage, current, and power, and the effect of the gearbox with the results in this study. The optimum torque value was obtained at a ratio of 1.5 (0.348 ± 0.006) Nm and the optimum RPM value was at a ratio of 2.8 (1019.35 ± 0.81) rotation/minute. From this rotation, the optimum voltage value in the no-load circuit is (9.34 ± 0.03) volts at a ratio of 2.8. In the load circuit, the optimum current and voltage are found at a resistance of 0.98 kΩ of (7.05 ± 0.03) mA and a voltage of (7.11 ± 0.02) volts. From the voltage and current, the optimum electric power was obtained (50.15 ± 0.02) mWatt at a gearbox ratio of 2.8. From this research, it is concluded that the optimum gearbox ratio variation is produced at a ratio of 2.8.
