Abstract

Pesawat pengangkat berjenis Container Crane tipe RTG merupakan alat yang digunakan dalam intensitas kerja tinggi dengan pembebanan siklis dalam waktu yang panjang. Berdasarkan keadaan demikian, kelelahan struktur kemungkinan besar dapat terjadi. Sehingga diperlukan analisis fatigue life untuk mengetahui nilai akumulasi kerusakan struktut RTG crane.
Analisis pada penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif berdasarkan olahan data gaya beban, stress analysis, defleksi dan structure displacement akibat buckling yang bekerja pada konstruksi utama RTG crane. Selanjutnya akan dinyatakan kekuatan dan kelayakannya dalam nilai safety factor. Penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada 3 asumsi beban kerja. Kegiatan operasional RTG diadasarkan pada data utilitas dalam periode satu bulan dengan jam operasi 12 jam.
Kesimpulan akhir dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi RTG mengalami tegangan yang berada dibawah batas aman akibat beban maksimal yang dinyatakan dalam nilai safety factor sebesar 1,9. Defleksi dan buckling yang terjadi pada kolom menunjukkan tidak ada batas maksimal yang terlampaui. Perhitungan fatigue life berdsarkan hukum Palmgren Miner diperoleh estimasi usia lelah RTG sebesar ±110 tahun.

Container crane type RTG lift is a tool that is used in high work intensity with cyclical loading for a long time. Under these circumstances, structural fatigue is likely to occur. So that fatigue life analysis is needed to determine the value of accumulated damage to the RTG crane structure.
The analysis in this study was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively based on processed load force data, stress analysis, deflection and structure displacement due to buckling that worked on the main construction of the RTG crane. Furthermore, the strength and feasibility will be stated in the safety factor value. This study only focuses on 3 assumptions of workload. RTG's operational activities are based on utility data for a period of one month with 12 hours of operation.
The final conclusion from this study shows that the RTG construction experiences a stress that is below the safe limit due to the maximum load stated in the safety factor value of 1.9. The deflection and buckling that occur in the column indicate that no maximum limit is exceeded. Calculation of fatigue life based on Palmgren Miner's law, the estimated fatigue life of RTG is ±110 years.
