Abstract
Telur Ayam Broiler merupakan telur ayam yang lebih banyak dicari, dikarenakan harganya yang lebih murah bila dibandingkan dengan telur ayam lokal, namun kandungan nutrisi dari Telur Ayam Broiler tidak jauh berbeda dengan telur ayam lokal. Cara dan waktu penyimpanan pada Telur Ayam Broiler akan mempengaruhi kualitas dari telur tersebut. Pendinginan adalah cara yang efektif dan praktis untuk melestarikan kualitas telur ayam tersebut. Mesin Pendingin merupakan suatu peralatan yang digunakan untuk mendinginkan suatu benda/lingkungan dengan cara refrigerasi. Refrigerasi merupakan proses perpindahan panas dari satu lokasi ke lokasi lain dengan menggunakan refrigeran dalam siklus tertutup[4]. Untuk itu, penulis merencanakan “Rancang Bangun Evaporator untuk Penyimpanan Telur Ayam Broiler” sebagai solusi untuk menjaga kualitas Telur Ayam Broiler tersebut. Direncanakan, temperatur yang ingin dicapai yaitu sebesar 5°C dengan batas waktu penyimpanan Telur Ayam Broiler hingga 4 minggu[6], agar Telur Ayam Broiler dapat terjaga kualitasnya. Rancang bangun ini dimulai dengan perencanaan dimensi Mesin Pendingin, perhitungan Beban Pendingin, pemilihan komponen, menentukan desain konstruksi alat, pembuatan alat, dan uji coba alat. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, Mesin Pendingin dengan kapasitas penyimpanan sebesar 3kg memiliki dimensi Panjang × Lebar × Tinggi = 58 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm, didapatkan bahwa Perpindahan Panas pada Evaporator = 20,37 W, Beban Infiltrasi = 1,372 W, dan Beban Produk = 31,178 W. Dan Total Beban Evaporator adalah 52,92 W. Biaya listrik yang harus dibayarkan untuk Mesin Pendingin dapat beroperasi selama 4 minggu adalah Rp. 891.229,6512. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba alat, didapatkan optimasi evaporator pada Rancang Bangun Evaporator untuk Penyimpanan Telur Ayam Broiler ini adalah dengan cara telur dimasukkan ke ruang penyimpanan pada saat temperatur ruang penyimpanan mencapai 5°C, dikarenakan waktu dan biaya yang dikeluarkan lebih hemat dibandingkan dengan telur yang dimasukkan ke ruang penyimpanan pada temperatur 30°C (temperatur lingkungan) hingga mencapai 5°C.========================================================================================================================Broiler Chicken Eggs are chicken eggs that are more sought after, because the price is cheaper when compared to local chicken eggs, but the nutritional content of Broiler Chicken Eggs is not much different from local chicken eggs. The method and time of storage of Broiler Chicken Eggs will affect the quality of the eggs. Refrigeration is an effective and practical way to preserve the quality of the chicken eggs. Cooling machine is an equipment used to cool an object/environment by means of refrigeration. Refrigeration is the process of transferring heat from one location to another using refrigerant in a closed cycle [4]. For this reason, the authors plan "Design of an Evaporator for Storage of Broiler Chicken Eggs" as a solution to maintain the quality of the Broiler Chicken Eggs. It is planned that the desired temperature is 5°C with a storage time limit of up to 4 weeks for Broiler Chicken Eggs[6], so that the quality of Broiler Chicken Eggs can be maintained. This design begins with planning the dimensions of the Cooling Machine, calculating the Cooling Load, selecting components, determining the design of the construction of the tool, making the tool, and testing the tool. Based on the calculation results, the Cooling Machine with a storage capacity of 3kg has dimensions of Length × Width × Height = 58 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm, it was found that the Heat Transfer in the Evaporator = 20.37 W, Infiltration Load = 1.372 W, and Product Load = 31.178 W. And the Total of Evaporator Load is 52.92 W. The electricity cost to bepaid for the Cooling Machine can operate for 4 weeks is Rp. 891,229.6512. Based on the test results of the tool, it was found that the optimization of the evaporator in the Evaporator Design for Storage of Broiler Chicken Eggs is by putting the eggs into the storage room when the temperature of the storage room reaches 5°C, because the time and costs incurred are more efficient than the eggs that are inserted. to the storage room at a temperature of 30°C (environmental temperature) up to 5°C.
