Abstract

This final project is technology idea that deals with application of prototype based fuzzy control for secondary circuit cooling in dynotest facility PT.PAL Indonesia. This idea is originated from the problem that concerning in system exist which is unable to carry out dynamics of temperature from primary circuit. Temperature conditioning is controlled using fuzzy logic, because of its reliability to make decision based on human reasoning.
Work flow of this final project is begin with data acquisition from field and scaling each components in secondary circuit cooling. Attention is focused in pump, because of flowrate variation. Then, fuzzy control modelling using Mamdani inference. Finally, prototype making as a realitation of the design and trial to test system performance.
Result after trial obtains prototype is determined based on dimensionless equation from each component in secondary circuit cooling. Dimensions in model scale is obtained using scaling factor 1:7. Fuzzy control system modeling produces design accuracy with comparison to simulation results an error rate of 0.009%. The test results show the level of temperature stability of the water entering the heat exchanger with an average error of 1.8°C to the setpoint (32°C). The evaluation, given to the model scale cooling system, which is not entirely appropriate to real scale.
