Abstract
Pabrik pupuk yang ada di Jawa Timur saIah satunya adaIah PT Petrokimia Gresik yang tepatnya pada Kabupaten Gresik. Salah satu unit yang ada di Pabrik III PT Petrokimia Gresik adalah Unit Produksi Phosporic Acid yang didesain dapat menghasilkan asam fosfat yang mencapai 172.450 ton per tahun dan dapat digunakan untuk pembuatan pupuk TSP/SP-36 serta produk samping gypsum. Untuk bahan baku yang digunakan pada pabrik III adalah phosphate rock dan asam sulfat 98.5%.
Pada proyek akhir ini, didapatkan hasil perhitungan evaluasi ulang dan rekomendasi pemilihan pompa yang sesuai untuk instalasi pompa hemihydrate recycle P-2301. Perhitungan head, NPSHa, kapasitas, daya pompa dan pemilihan pompa dihitung secara analitis dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow experts v7.30
Pada evaluasi ulang ini, pompa sentrifugal P-2301 menghasilkan Head Effektif 21 m pada kapasitas 5,45 m^3/min, daya motor sebesar = 27 kW. Sehingga, dari hasil perhitungan tersebut dapat direkomendasikan pompa sentrifugal single stage merk Warman Pump dengan type 8-6 FILAH GM V/L 5VCM HL.

One of the fertilizer factories in East Java is PT Petrokimia Gresik, which is precisely in Gresik Districts. One of the units in Plant III of PT Petrokimia Gresik is the Phosphoric Acid Production Unit which is designed to produce phosphoric acid which reaches 172,450 tons per year and can be used for the manufacture of TSP/SP-36 fertilizer and gypsum by-products. The raw materials used in plant III are phosphate rock and 98.5% sulfuric acid.
In this final project, the results of re-evaluation calculations and recommendations for selecting the right pump for the installation of the P-2301 hemihydrate recycle pump were obtained. Calculation of head, NPSHa, capacity, pump power and pump selection were calculated analytically and numerically using pipe flow expert software v7.30
In this re-evaluation, it was found that the capacity for the hemihydrate recycle pump installation with a maximum capacity of = 5,45 m^3/min with an effective installation head (Heff) of = 21 m and obtained a motor power of = 27 kW. So, from the results of these calculations, it can be recommended that a single stage centrifugal pump with the brand Warman Pump with type 8-6 FILAH GM V/L 5VCM HL be recommended.
