Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of concentration and
surface properties correlated with the Si/Al ratio of silica-alumina
catalysts in polypropylene plastic waste cracking for liquid fuel
production. This study uses comparatives of several journal studies
with literature review method based on experimental research
which then designed to be cross-sectional research. From this
study, it was found that the concentration and properties of catalyst
surfaces in cracking are very important. Low concentrations
(based on mode values and optimum averages are 10% wt and
6.42% wt) and surface properties of high-value surface areas and
pore sizes are considered effective (based on optimum average
value is 394 m2
g
-1
and 0.94 cm3
g
-1
). When correlated with the Si/Al
ratio, a small concentration is able to produce a relatively
moderate amount of Si/Al (35/65) for effective liquid production.
Related to surface properties, the higher the Si/Al ratio of catalysts
will increase the surface area of the catalyst which will increase
the production of liquid fuel.
