Abstract

Radar can be used for tracking the position of airborne targets. In tracking the target position, there is a problem, namely the uncertainty of data associations. Data association is used to overcome this problem, where the algorithm that uses this concept is the Probabilistic Data
Association Filter (PDAF). In this research, the system of tracking the target's position in the air on the radar is tested using the PDAF algorithm.
The data used comes from simulating various kinds of target motions in the air on the SPx-Radar-Simulator. False alarms originating from clutter are generated in the environment around the target. The test results of the target tracking system that has been designed can track targets well,
maintain tracking conditions in an environment that has clutter even though false alarms occur with a total track loss of 0, and can maintain track on two adjacent targets. The position comparison calculated using the mean absolute error (mae) and the root mean square relative error
(rmsre) between the original data and predictions on a validated target has a maximum value of mae error on the X-axis of 0.0365 NM, the Y-axis of 0.0320 NM, and h is 19.6235 ft and the maximum rmsre to the
