Abstract
Zona aman dan direkomendasikan memiliki total luas 1.613.235,96 (satu juta enam ratus tiga belas ribu dua ratus tiga puluh lima koma sembilan puluh enam) m2.

One third of the electricity demand on the island of Bali comes from transmission from Java Island which is channeled through submarine cables or interconnection networks. Bali's electricity comes from transmission from Java because it is more efficient if it is delivered via submarine cables than from power plants. The planning of submarine cable lines must be supported by a hydrographic survey which is included in the science of Geomatics. This study studies geomatics aspects through the physical characteristics of the ocean and seabed features to provide recommendations for planning submarine cables in the Bali Strait. The parameters used are subsea slope classification maps, seabed sediment classification maps, current maps, shortest distance maps, and bathymetry maps. This study uses a GIS (Geographical Information System) approach to produce a cable route planning area. Based on this research, the recommendation map for the subsea cable line planning area is visualized into three categories: safe and recommended, medium risk, and high risk. The safe and recommended zone has a total area of 1,613,235.96 (one million six hundred thirteen thousand two hundred thirty five point ninety six) m2. The medium risk zone has a total area of 10,025,683.25 (ten million twenty five thousand six hundred eighty three point twenty five) m2, while the area with a total area of 2,164,119.05 (two million one hundred sixty four thousand one hundred nineteen point zero five) m2 is included in the high risk zone. From the submarine cable plan lines obtained, it can be calculated that the estimated length of the submarine cable is 5735 (five thousand seven hundred and thirty five) meters.
