Abstract

PT X is an FMCG distributor company in Indonesia which has a distribution center in Surabaya. PT X is faced with problems related to delivery based on responsive delivery orders (DO) according to the store's will so that the number of DOs sent per day fluctuates, especially in the HCO distribution system. The impact of the fluctuating amount of DO affects the distribution rate and order fulfillment. The target of distribution rate is 2 rits and order fulfillment of 90%. Based on data in January 2021, the realization of the number of trucks that reached 2 cycles was 67% and affects the unfulfilled order. So this study aims to balance the daily distribution load and determine the FMCG distribution route so that the target ritase and order fulfillment can be achieved. The strategy used is to use one of the optimization models, namely Multi Trips Vehicle Routing Problem (MTVRP). The result of this research is that the MTVRP model which is run every Monday – Friday has a balanced distribution load every day, with a standard deviation of 0.1 with an optimal distribution route. The result of the number of daily trucks needed is 5-7 trucks with a percentage of trucks reaching 2-4 trips of 86.2% and order fulfillment of 100%.
