Abstract

Konteks: Dalam mengelola sumber daya manusia di
perusahaan, PT XYZ memiliki departemen yang bertanggung
jawab terhadap bidang tersebut yakni departemen Human
Resource General Affair (HRGA). Departemen HRGA memiliki
program penilaian kompetensi karyawan dimana hasil dari
penilaian tersebut akan digunakan untuk menentukan apakah
karyawan yang dinilai memerlukan pelatihan atau tidak.
Namun, proses penilaian tersebut masih bersifat konvensional
yaitu dengan menggunakan kertas. Hal tersebut menimbulkan
dampak yang dapat menghambat jalannya proses bisnis
penilaian kompetensi karyawan. Sehingga, untuk mengatasi
masalah tersebut dilakukannya implementasi Workflow
Management Systems (WfMS) pada proses penilaian
kompetensi karyawan PT XYZ menggunakan Processmaker.
Permasalahan: Walaupun telah dilakukan penerapan WfMS,
PT XYZ belum melakukan proses monitoring terhadap
penerapan tersebut. Sesuai dengan tahapan dalam Business
Process Management (BPM) Lifecycle, setelah melakukan
implementasi perlu dilakukannya proses monitoring yang
bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi apakah implementasi tersebut
sudah sesuai dengan tujuan proses.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak
positif dari penerapan WfMS yang telah dilakukan baik dari
segi waktu maupun dari segi faktor lainnya. Selain itu, hasil
evaluasi pada penelitian ini bisa memberikan masukan kepada

perusahaan pengaruh penerapan WfMS terhadap peningkatan
kinerja proses bisnis perusahaan.
Metode: Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut, pada penelitian ini
akan dilakukan evaluasi terhadap implementasi WfMS
menggunakan metode Measurement Approach dengan ukuran
kinerja utama dari sisi waktu. Metode tersebut melibatkan
simulasi proses menggunakan tools BIMP dimana
pengukurannya adalah dengan membandingkan waktu siklus
sebelum dan sesudah implementasi WfMS. Pengukuran yang
dilakukan berdasarkan data nyata yang diambil dari hasil
wawancara dan observasi, data hasil simulasi awal, serta data
hasil simulasi akhir setelah dilakukan implementasi WfMS.
Hasil yang dicapai: Hasil yang diperoleh dari penerapan
WfMS pada PT XYZ berupa penurunan waktu siklus sebesar 64-
66%. Selain itu WfMS juga memudahkan dalam pengumpulan
data dan audit, memudahkan melacak case yang masih on
progress, serta meningkatkan kenyamanan user dalam
melaksanakan proses penilaian.
Manfaat: Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu membantu
perusahaan dalam mengelola proses bisnis penilaian
kompetensi karyawan sehingga bisa meningkatkan kinerja
organisasi pada proses penilaian, serta dapat dijadikan
referensi untuk penelitian selanjutnya mengenai evaluasi
penerapan WfMS.

Context: In managing human resources in the company, PT
XYZ has a department that is responsible for this field, namely
the Human Resource General Affair (HRGA) department.
HRGA department has an employee competency assessment
program where the results of the assessment will be used to
determine whether the assessed employee needs training or not.
However, the assessment process is still conventional, using
paper. That conventional process has an impact that can impede
the running of the business process of the employee competency
assessment. Thus, to overcome that problem, they do the
implementation of Workflow Management Systems (WfMS) in
the competency assessment process for PT XYZ employees using
Processmaker.
Problems: Although WfMS has been implemented, PT XYZ has
not carried out the monitoring process on the implementation.
By the stages in the Business Process Management (BPM)
Lifecycle, after the implementing process, it is necessary to
carry out a monitoring process that aims to evaluate whether
the implementation is following the objectives of the process.
Objectives: This study aims to determine the positive impact of
the implementation of WfMS that has been carried out both in
terms of time and in terms of other factors. In addition, the
evaluation results in this study can be evidence to the company
that the application of WfMS can affect performance
improvement or not.

Methods: To achieve the goals, in this study, an evaluation of
the implementation of WfMS will be conducted using the
Measurement Approach method with the main performance
measure in terms of time. This method involves simulating the
process using BIMP tools where the measurement is to compare
cycle times before and after WfMS implementation.
Measurements are made based on actual data taken from
interviews and observtions, data from the initial simulation
results, and data from the final simulations after the
implementation of WfMS.
Results: The results obtained from the implementation of WfMS
at PT XYZ are the form of a decrease in cycle time by 64-66%.
In addition, WfMS also facilitates data collection and auditing,
makes it easier to track cases that are still in progress, and
increases user convenience in doing the assessment process.
Benefit: This research is expected to be able to assist the
company in managing the business process of employee
competency assessment so that it can improve organizational
performance in the assessment process, moreover it can be used
as a reference for further research on evaluating the
implementation of WfMS.
