Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan sebuah perusahaan manufaktur di bidang pembuatan kertas cokelat. PT. XYZ memiliki satu mesin produksi dengan kapasitas 150 ton/hari. Saat ini kondisi mesin dinilai kurang efisien karena selama beberapa tahun terakhir mengalami penurunan efisiensi lebih dari 3%. Penurunan ini berimbas pada peningkatan pemakaian steam dan listrik berturut-turut sebesar 22% dan 12%. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena penurunan kecepatan mesin. Untuk itu pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis produktivitas mesin dan perencanaan penerapan Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) sesuai dengan kondisi aktual perusahaan sehingga permasalahan yang menyebabkan penurunan efisiensi mesin produksi dapat teratasi. Langkah analisis yang dilakukan yaitu mengukur OEE untuk tahun 2019 – 2020. Dari pengukuran OEE didapatkan data mengenai time loss yang terbagi kedalam seven major losses yaitu reduced speed loss, minor stoppage loss, equipment failure, defect and rework, setup and adjustment, tool change loss dan startup loss. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan pareto chart dan fishbone diagram untuk mengetahui faktor loss terbesar dan penyebab munculnya faktor loss tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa OEE mesin kertas PT.XYZ sebesar 82,91% sehingga masih berada di bawah standar JIPM sebesar 85%. Faktor loss paling besar yang paling mempengaruhi OEE adalah reduced speed loss sebesar 30,3% dari total time loss mesin. Faktor penyebab tingginya reduced speed loss ialah motivasi dan kinerja operator kurang, perawatan mesin yang kurang efisien, dan peralatan yang kotor. Untuk menanggulangi beberapa hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan penerapan program TPM. Oleh karena itu untuk memperbaiki produktivitas mesin dibuatlah program implementasi TPM yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu pengenalan, inisiatif implementasi dan standarisasi.

Currently, the production machines condition is considered inefficient, because over the past few years the production efficiency has decreased more than 3%. This decrease also affected the consumption of steam and electricity, which increased more than 22% and 12% per ton of paper. This is due to frequent decreases in engine speed. For this reason, in this study an analysis and planning of the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) was carried out in accordance with the actual conditions of the company so that problems that caused a decrease in the efficiency of production machines could be resolved. The analytical step taken is measuring OEE for the years 2019 – 2020. From the OEE measurement, data on time loss is obtained which is divided into seven major losses, namely reduced speed loss, minor stoppage loss, equipment failure, defect and rework, setup and adjustment, tool change loss. and startup loss. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Pareto charts and fishbone diagrams to find out the biggest loss factor and the cause of the loss factor. The results showed that the OEE of PT. XYZ's paper machine was 82.91%, so it was still below the JIPM standard of 85%. The biggest loss factor is reduced speed loss of 30.3% of the total machine time loss. The factors causing the high reduced speed loss are less motivation and operator performance, less efficient machine maintenance, and dirty equipment. To overcome some of these things, it can be overcome by implementing the TPM program. Therefore, to improve machine productivity, a TPM implementation program was made consisting of three stages, namely introduction, implementation initiative, and standardization.
