Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed human lifestyles in almost all parts of the world, not only changes the health protocols but also changes in daily activities from offline activities to online activities. The use of information and communication technology is increasing along with public awareness of complying with government recommendations to stay at home. With the pandemic, MSMEs must adapt to become digital MSMEs as a strategy to survive with their business. The main purpose of this study was to measure the maturity level of the use of information and communication technology in MSMEs in East Java and to conduct a gap analysis using a quantitative descriptive method that began by distributing an online questionnaire which data was used as primary data. The approach used is the Business Canvas Model to get an overview of the strategies implemented by MSMEs in each of their business processes by utilizing ICT.
Business Model Canvas is a canvas to describe a company's business model in order to determine a strategy for advancing its business. There are nine building blocks of the Business Model Canvas, namely customer segments, value proposition, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structures used in the online questionnaire. Descriptive quantitative data were then analyzed using the IT Maturity Model which was developed by the authors as the result of the adoption of the ISAC FOUNDATION Capability Maturity Model (CMM) in 2007 and analyzed with COBIT 5 domain EDM. The results show that the average maturity value of ICT utilization in MSMEs in East Java is 0.86 or at Level 1 (Initial), and the gap value is big that is 2,13.
