Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang sedang berkembang
dalamsemua aspek termasuk dalam aspek ekonomi. Perkembangan ekonomi indonesia besar dampaknya terhadap perkembangan industri, khususnya petrokimia. Formaldehyde merupakan salah satu senyawa kimia yang banyak manfaatnya seperti industri polywood, farmasi dan resin. Indonesia yang masih bergantung pada bahan ini dan sedikitnya ekspor serta meningkatnya kebutuhan dunia akan bahan ini merupakan alasan yang cukup kuat untuk mendirikan pabrik ini pada tahun 2024. Proses pembuatan Formaldehyde ini ada 5 tahap, yaitu tahap penyimpanan bahan baku, tahap persiapan bahan baku, tahap pembentukan produk, tahap separasi produk serta tahap pemurnian produk. Pembuatan Formaldehyde digunakan bahan baku methanol dan udara dengan proses silver catalyst dengan konversi dari bahan baku sebesar 77 % dan yield nya sebesar 99,4%. Selain itu katalis yang digunakan bertahan berkisar 3 sampai 8 bulan dan katalis tersebut dapat diregenerasi dan dapat digunakan kembali. Pabrik ini direncanakan beroperasi secara continous selama 330 hari/tahun dengan basis 24 jam/hari dengan kapasitas sebesar 20.000 ton/tahun dengan bahan baku pendukung water process, dan katalis Ag. Kebutuhan utilitasnya adalah air sanitasi, air pendingin, air boiler dan air proses

Formaldehyde is a chemical compound that has many benefits, such as the Indonesian polywood, pharmaceutical and resin industries which depend on this material and the lack of exports and the increasing world demand for the material are strong enough reasons to establish this factory in 2024. The process of making Formaldehyde exists 5 stages, namely the raw material storage stage, the raw material preparation stage, the product formation stage, the product separation stage and the product purification stage. Formaldehyde is used as raw materials for methanol and air using the sthver catalyst process, with a commercialization of 77% of raw materials and 99.4% of yield. In addition, the catalyst used lasts for 3 to 8 months and the catalyst can be regenerated and can be reused. This plant is planned to operate continuously for 330 days / year on a 24-hour basis with a capacity of 20,000 tons / year with supporting raw materials for water process, and Ag catalyst
