Abstract

Air laut memiliki kandungan NaCl yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan garam. Garam industri memegang peranan penting dalam industri seperti industri pembuatan caustic soda, soda ash, pengawetan, farmasi dan tekstil. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan garam, maka akan dilakukan pembuatan garam melalui proses sedimentation-microfiltration dengan kapasitas sebesar 600.000 ton/tahun.

Seawater contains NaCl which can be used as raw material for making salt. Industrial salt plays an important role in industries such as the manufacture of caustic soda, soda ash, preservation, pharmaceuticals and textiles. To meet the demand for salt, salt will be made through a sedimentation-microfiltration process with a capacity of 600,000 tons/year.
