Abstract

Sedangkan IRL 4, fase chasm memperoleh tingkat kecapaian sebesar 74,55%.

The telecommunication industry is currently in a very competitive
situation, where the rapid changes in technology and market needs have caused a
decline in revenue in the legacy business. To deal with this, the telecommunications
industry has developed innovative products in various business models. However,
many of these innovation products fail and are trapped in the chasm phase, which
is a condition where the innovation product cannot be optimally adopted by the
market. Therefore, this study aims to propose a strategy for developing potential
digital innovation products so that they can be accepted by the market and pass the
chasm phase by using case studies from the Corporate Innovation Lab (CI-Lab) in
telecommunications companies in Indonesia.
Potential digital innovation products are selected using the Analytical
Hierarchy Process (AHP) method against several alternative innovation products
by considering 4 criteria, namely KPI achievement, funding, income, and risk.
Furthermore, business model analysis with lean canvas and value proposition
canvas (VPC) was carried out on selected innovation products to develop customers
and functional requirements in Quality Function Deployment (QFD), where this
approach was used to determine technical priorities in accordance with consumer
expectations. Meanwhile, to find out that the product will be well received by the
market, the measurement of the Innovation Readiness Levels (IRL) is used. In
addition, the results of the IRL measurements provide recommendations so that
these digital innovation products can continue to develop to achieve
competitiveness.
The results of this study are recommendations for the development of digital
innovation products from CI-Lab, namely the provider of end-to-end big data
platforms on IRL 3, the completion phase with an achievement rate of 89.52%.
While IRL 4, the chasm phase obtained an achievement rate of 74.55%.
