Abstract
Indonesia merupakan daerah yang terletak diantara empat lempeng tektonik yaitu, lempeng Eurasia, lempeng Pasifik, lempeng Indo-Australia, dan lempeng Filipina sehingga menjadikan Indonesia sebagai negara yang sering mengalami gempa bumi. Gempa bumi merupakan suatu bencana alam yang dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan gedung, rumah hingga dapat menimbulkan korban jiwa. Struktur gedung yang dibangun pada daerah rawan gempa haruslah struktur tahan gempa, artinya struktur tidak mengalami keruntuhan saat terjadi gempa sehingga penghuni yang menggunakan gedung dapat lebih aman. Saat ini sudah banyak penelitian mengenai sistem struktur tahan gempa, diantaranya struktur fixed base dan struktur base isolation. Di dalam tugas akhir ini gedung kawana golf residence apartment didesain dengan material beton bertulang menggunakan struktur fixed base dan struktur base isolation. Base isolator yang digunakan yaitu High Damping Rubber Bearing. Desain yang dilakukan meliputi desain struktur sekunder, struktur primer, base isolator, dan pondasi. Digunakan program bantu ETABS untuk melakukan Analisa struktur Dari hasil analisa, gedung dengan base isolation memiliki nilai drift yang lebih kecil tetapi memiliki nilai displacement lebih besar daripada gedung fixed base. Pada level kinerja, gedung dengan base isolation memiliki level kinerja yang lebih baik daripada gedung fixed base.

Indonesia is an area located between four tectonic plates, namely, the Eurasian plate, the Pacific plate, the Indo-Australian plate, and the Philippine plate, making Indonesia a country that often encounter earthquakes. Earthquake is a natural disaster that can cause damage to buildings, houses and can cause casualties. Building structures built in earthquake-prone areas must be earthquake-resistant structures, meaning that the structure does not collapse during an earthquake so that occupants who use the building can be safer. Currently, there have been many studies on earthquake-resistant structural systems, including fixed base structures and base isolation structures. In this final project, the Kawana Golf Residence Apartment building is designed with reinforced concrete using a fixed base structure and a base isolation structure. The base isolator used is High Damping Rubber Bearing. The design carried out includes the design of secondary structure, primary structure, base isolator, and foundation. The ETABS program is used to perform structural analysis. From the analysis results, the building with base isolation has a smaller drift value but has a larger displacement value than the fixed base building. At the performance level, the building with base isolation is better than the fixed base building.
