Abstract

Eelgrass atau dalam Bahasa Indonesia disebut rumput belut adalah salah satu jenis lamun. Lamun merupakan satu-satunya tumbuhan angiospermae yang dapat tumbuh dalam lingkungan laut. Eelgrass (Zostera marina) tumbuh menempel dan berakar pada dasar laut, biasanya tumbuh pada kedalaman yang dangkal. Tumbuhan tersebut banyak ditemukan pada perairan pesisir Amerika Utara. Salah satunya yaitu di Pantai Barat California, tepatnya di teluk Richardson sebelah Utara Kota Sausalito, California, USA, banyak ditemukan tumbuhan eelgrass pada kedalaman antara 1 hingga 2 meter. R2Sonic melakukan survei pada daerah tersebut dalam 3 kali survei, diantaranya survei A, B dan C. Dari ketiga survei tersebut dua diantaranya memiliki kriteria yang sama yaitu menggunakan frekuensi 170, 225, dan 450 kHz dengan ukuran swath 120° pada survei A dan B. Sedangkan pada survei C menggunakan frekuensi 350, 450, dan 700 kHz dengan swath berukuran 70°. Dari ketiga data dilakukan pengolahan batimetri menggunakan perangkat lunak Qimera, batimetri yang sudah bersih selanjutnya dilakukan pengolahan hambur balik menggunakan perangkat lunak FMGT dan dari data kolom air yang berformat *.wcd dilakukan pengolahan menggunakan perangkat lunak FMMidwater. Pengolahan batimetri menghasilkan peta persebaran habitat eelgrass dengan luas eelgrass sebesar 1010,04 m2. Pengolahan hambur balik mendapatkan hasil 3 kelas sedimen, diantaranya pasir, lanau dan tanah liat. Dari pengolahan kolom air didapatkan hasil bahwa frekuensi 450 kHz menunjukkan interpretasi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui objek eelgrass dan seabed yang lebih bagus dari frekuensi lainnya. Dari perhitungan distribusi normal rata-rata tinggi eelgrass diketahui frekuensi 170 kHz yang masuk dalam rentang rata-rata tinggi eelgrass dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%.

Eelgrass or in Indonesian called eelgrass is one type of seagrass. Seagrass is the only angiosperm plant that can grow in a marine environment. Eelgrass (Zostera marina) grows attached to and rooted on the seabed, usually growing at shallow depths. These plants are found in coastal waters of North America. One of them is on the West Coast of California, precisely in Richardson Bay, north of Sausalito City, California, USA, where many eelgrass plants are found at a depth of 1 to 2 meters. R2Sonic surveyed the area in 3 surveys, including surveys A, B and C. Of the three surveys, two of them had the same criteria, namely using frequencies of 170, 225, and 450 kHz with a swath size of 120° in surveys A and B. Meanwhile in survey C using frequencies of 350, 450, and 700 kHz with a swath measuring 70°. From the three data, bathymetry was processed using Qimera software, clean bathymetry was then processed using FMGT software and from the water column data in *.wcd format, it was processed using FMMidwater software. Bathymetry processing produces a map of the distribution of eelgrass habitats with an eelgrass area of 1010.04 m2. Backscattering treatment results in 3 classes of sediment, including sand, silt and clay. From the water column processing, the results show that the frequency of 450 kHz shows an interpretation that can be used to find out which eelgrass and seabed objects are better than other frequencies. From the calculation of the normal distribution of the average height of eelgrass, it is known that the frequency of 170 kHz is included in the range of the average height of eelgrass with a 95% confidence level.
