Abstract
Proses Mastering adalah proses finalisasi dari Audio Post-Production. Dalam proses Mastering ini, sebuah file audio akan diproses dengan Equalizer, untuk mengubah spektrum dari sebuah audio agar nyaman didengarkan, Dynamic Range Compressor, untuk mengoptimasi dinamika volume dari suatu audio, dan Stereo Width Controller, untuk mengoptimasi spatial image dari suatu audio. Hal ini dilakukan agar suara yang dihasilkan dapat optimal meskipun akan dimainkan pada berbagai macam playback device. Sebuah sistem digital yang membantu untuk mengoptimasi spektrum dan dinamika dari suatu audio akan memudahkan proses Mastering, dan memudahkan pekerjaan Audio Engineer maupun Video Editor. Sistem ini dibuat menggunakan sebuah Graphic Equalizer yang parameter Gain dari masing-masing filternya akan diatur oleh Dynamic Range Compressor dengan Pink Noise sebagai pengatur parameter Threshold pada Dynamic Range Compressor. Sistem ini menghasilkan output audio yang lebih baik dibanding inputnya dengan penggunaan processing power yang tidak cukup besar dan tidak menghasilkan Total Harmonic Distortion yang signifikan.

Mastering is a finalizing process on Audio Post-Production. In this process, an audio file will be processed by an Equalizer to change its spectrum to create a more pleasant listening experience, and then processed by a Dynamic Range Compressor, to optimize the loudness dynamic, and finally it's processed by Stereo Width Controller to optimize its spatial image. Mastering is done so that the audio file will have a consistent playback experience even if the file is played on a playback device that's different from the one used in the recording studio. A digital systems that can helps optimizing spectral content and loudness dynamics will facilitate an easier Mastering process for Audio Engineer or Video Editor. This system is made using a Graphic Equalizer whose Gain parameter of each filter will be set by the Dynamic Range Compressor with Pink Noise as the Threshold parameter setting on the Dynamic Range Compressor. This system produces an audio output that’s preferable than its untreated audio input with acceptable CPU usage and without producing a significant amount of Total Harmonic Distortion.
