Abstract
Pabrik Natrium Nitrat dirancang dengan kapasitas 15.000 ton/tahun. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah Natrium Klorida dan Asam Nitrat. Pabrik ini direncanakan untuk didirikan di daerah kawasan industri Cikampek, Karawang, Jawa Barat pada tahun 2025.
Pembuatan Natrium Nitrat dari Natrium Klorida dan Asam Nitrat dengan proses sintesis melalui 6 tahap. Tahap pertama adalah menyiapkan bahan baku Natrium Klorida dan Asam Nitrat 60%. Tahap kedua yaitu Natrium Klorida direaksikan dengan Asam Nitrat 60% untuk membentuk Natrium Nitrat. Tahap ketiga yaitu proses pemurnian dengan menguapkan Natrium Nitrat untuk mengurangi kandungan airnya dan membuat larutan Natrium Nitrat menjadi lebih pekat. Tahap keempat yaitu proses kristalisasi untuk mengkristalkan larutan Natrium Nitrat. Tahap kelima yaitu proses pemisahan antara kristal Natrium Nitrat dengan mother liquornya. Tahap keenam yaitu proses drying untuk mengurangi kadar air pada kristal Natrium Nitrat.
Pabrik Natrium Nitrat bekerja secara kontinyu dan beroperasi selama 330 hari/tahun dengan kapasitas 407.278 ton/tahun. Natrium Klorida yang dibutuhkan sebesar 4000 kg/jam dan Asam Nitrat yang dibutuhkan sebesar 6000 kg/jam. Kebutuhan utilitasnya adalah air pendingin dan air umpan boiler, masing-masing sebesar 157,727 m3/jam dan 1176,17 m3/jam. Limbah yang dihasilkan dari industry ini yaitu, limbah kondensat evaporator, dan debu cyclone.

The Sodium Nitrate Plant is designed with a capacity of 15,000 tons/year. The raw materials used are sodium chloride and nitric acid. This factory is planned to be established in the Cikampek industrial area, Karawang, West Java in 2025.
Making Sodium Nitrate from Sodium Chloride and Nitric Acid with a synthesis process through 6 stages. The first step is to prepare the raw materials for Sodium Chloride and 60% Nitric Acid. The second step is sodium chloride is reacted with 60% nitric acid to form sodium nitrate. The third stage is the purification process by evaporating the sodium nitrate to reduce the water content and make the sodium nitrate solution more concentrated. The fourth stage is the crystallization process to crystallize the sodium nitrate solution. The fifth stage is the separation process between the sodium nitrate crystals and the mother liquor. The sixth stage is the drying process to reduce the water content of the sodium nitrate crystals.
The Sodium Nitrate Plant works continuously and operates for 330 days/year with a capacity of 407,278 tons/year. The required sodium chloride is 4000 kg/hour and the required nitric acid is 6000 kg/hour. The utility needs are cooling water and boiler feed water, each of which is 157.727 m3/hour and 1176.17 m3/hour. The waste generated from this industry is condensate evaporator waste, and cyclone dust.
