Abstract
Pengolahan industri Crude Palm Oil (CPO) secara umum terdiri dari lima tahap utama yaitu sterilisasi, klasifikasi, pemisahan, pengepresan, dan klarifikasi. Dalam proses industri, diperlukan tindakan yang tepat untuk setiap tahap guna memaksimalkan kualitas dan kuantitas produk akhir. Untuk mencapai kinerja yang baik dari proses penggilingan kelapa sawit, setiap tahapan harus disinkronkan dengan tahapan lainnya. Fase-fase tersebut dapat dirancang dalam bentuk ladder diagram yang akan diterapkan pada PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) sebagai pengontrol otomasi industri. Ada banyak metode konstruksi diagram tangga yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan berbagai proses industri. Untuk mendapatkan output yang sesuai dan robust bagi pengolahan CPO, studi ini akan mengimplentasikan metode cascade yang dikenal sederhana dan efisien jika diaplikasikan dalam sebuah sistem melalui hasil yang sesuai dengan formulasi switching function yang dikonversi dari proses sequence dari pengolahan CPO. Juga akan memberikan gambaran perbandingan kompleksitas jika menerapkan metode dan pendekatan yang berbeda. ===================================================================================================== The industrial processing of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) generally consists of five main stages, namely sterilization, classification, separation, pressing, and clarification. In industrial processes, appropriate actions are required for each stage to maximize the quality and quantity of the final product. To achieve good performance of the palm oil milling process, each stage must be synchronized with the other stages. These phases can be designed in the form of a ladder diagram that will be applied to a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) as an industrial automation controller. There are many methods of constructing ladder diagrams that are used to carry out various industrial processes. To get a suitable and robust output for CPO processing, this study will implement a cascade method which is known to be simple and efficient when applied in a system through results that are in accordance with the switching function formulation which is converted from the sequence process of CPO processing. It will also provide an overview of the complexity comparison if applying different methods and approaches.
