Abstract

Conventionally pesticide spraying activities are carried out by mixing chemicals
(pesticides) with carrier fluids into a tank that will then be pumped to the sprayer
nozzle. The technology uses a Chemical Injection method where varying
concentrations of chemicals are injected into the carrier flow proportionally to the
working speed and maintain a constant volume, thus keeping the flow rate on the
nozzle constant without changing the spray pattern. The software design technology
also applies wireless sensor network that can communicate between sensors and
actuators without using cables or can be called wireless. Test results of injection
system with a dose of 2 ml / litre, 3 ml / litre, 5 ml / litre and 10 ml / litre obtained
the result of error percentage 6.5 % for injection dose 2 ml / litre, error percentage
4.6% for injection dose 3 ml / litre, error percentage 2.6% for injection dose 5 ml /
litre and error percentage 1.2% for injection dose 10 ml / litre. Wireless technology
test results, the maximum communication distance between nodes as far as 20
Meters can still run smoothly with an average delay value on each node of 0.236 s
on node 1, 0.256 on node 2 and 0.257 on node 3.
