Abstract

Tingginya tingkat pengangguran menyebabkan masyarakat untuk memikirkan cara lain dalam mencari penghasilan selain menjadi karyawan pada suatu perusahaan, salah satunya adalah mendirikan bisnis startup. Namun sayangnya angka kegagalan startup pada tahap cockroach cukup tinggi yang disebabkan kurangnya pasar dan kolaborasi dengan pihak yang sesuai. Ditambah lagi wadah bekerja yang tersedia pada umumnya, terutama di daerah bukan metropolis, masih belum ada yang dapat merespon secara spesifik kebutuhan dan karakteristik dari pelaku startup yang mayoritas terdiri dari Generasi Millenials dan Generasi Z.
Oleh karena itu dalam merespon isu tersebut perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan ruang kerja kolaboratif yang fleksibel yang mampu meningkatkan produktifitas serta memenuhi kenyamanan penggunanya. Dalam menyelesaikan masalah terkait kebutuhan yang kompleks dan proses kolaboratif dari pengguna, perancangan ini menggunakan pendekatan fleksibilitas dalam arsitektur (adaptable), metode Strategy of Flexible Space, studi teoritis tahap kolaborasi Penny Johnson serta beberapa metode lainnya untuk mendukung perancangan dalam mencapai tujuannya.
Objek rancang yang dihasilkan berupa bangunan bernama “Flexollab Coworking Space”. Coworking space ini berjenis Startup Incubator yang dikhususkan untuk startup kreatif di bidang Software as a Service. Perancangan ini diharapkan dapat merespon dan menginterpretasikan gaya kerja dan kebutuhan dari pelaku startup. Dengan adanya coworking space ini, bisnis startup di Kabupaten Sidoarjo dapat berkolaborasi dengan satu sama lain sehingga dapat menjadi sebuah katalisator pengembangan bisnis startup di daerah sekitarnya.

The high unemployment rate causes people to think of other ways of earning in addition to being employees at a company, one of which is to build a startup business. But unfortunately the startup failure rate at the cockroach stage is quite high due to the lack of market and collaboration with the appropriate parties. In addition, availability of workplace facilities in general, especially in non-metropolis areas, the facilities that respond specifically to the needs and characteristics of startup employees (consist mostly of Millenials and Generation Z) is not available yet.
Therefore, in responding to these issues, the design aims to create a flexible collaborative workspace that can increase productivity and meet the convenience of its users. In solving problems related to complex needs and collaborative processes of users, this design uses a flexibility approach in architecture (adaptable), Strategy of Flexible Space method, as well as several other methods to support design in achieving its goals.
The resulting design object is a building named "Flexollab Coworking Space". This coworking space is a Startup Incubator that is devoted to creative startups in the field of Software as a Service. This design is expected to respond and interpret the work style and needs of startup employees. With this coworking space, startup businesses in Sidoarjo Regency can collaborate with each other so that it can become a catalyst for startup business development in order to create more jobs and reduce the unemployment rate.
