Abstract

Teori Gravitasi Kuantum merupakan suatu jembatan yang menghubungkan Teori Kuantum dan Teori Gravitasi. Impian fisikawan untuk menyatukan gravitasi dengan tiga gaya yang lain dalam suatu Theory of Everything menemui suatu hambatan, gravitasi tidak cocok dalam kerangka mekanika kuantum dan teori medan kuantum. Oleh karena itu, Teori Gravitasi kuantum memiliki misi utama yaitu mengkuantisasi gravitasi agar gravitasi cocok dalam kerangka kuantum. Kuantisasi dapat dilakukan dengan pendekatan kanonik dan kovarian. Dalam Teori Gravitasi Kuantum, muncul berbagai persoalan, salah satunya adalah Masalah Waktu (The Problem of Time). Pertanyaan menarik secara teoretis, apakah mungkin untuk mengkonstruksikan Teori Gravitasi Kuantum dengan pendekatan kanonik yang mampu menyelesaikan Masalah Waktu? Maka Tesis ini mempelajari teori kuantum dari gravitasi dengan pendekatan kanonik dan pemecahannya atas Masalah Waktu.

The theory of quantum gravity is a bridge that connects quantum theory and theory of gravity. Physicists dream to unify gravity with three other forces in a Theory of Everything encountered a obstacle, gravity doesn't fit within the framework of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory. Therefore, the theory of quantum gravity has main mission to quantize gravity in such a way that gravity fits within the quantum framework. Quantization can be done with canonical and covariant approach. In the theory of quantum gravity, various problems arise, one of which is The Problem of Time. A theoretically interesting question, is it possible to construct a theory of quantum gravity with a canonical approach that is able to solve the Problem of Time? So, this master theses study about the quantum theory of gravity with a canonical approach and its solution to The Problem of Time.
