Abstract
Urbanisasi penduduk menuju perkotaan menyebabkan kepadatan penduduk terus meningkat.

Urbanization towards urban causes population density continue to increase. The results expected by BPS (2013) show that the population of Indonesia will increase to almost 300 million people by 2030. The increase in population in cities can also be accompanied by mortality rates, causing problems in providing public green open space (RTH), especially the provision of public areas. burial. This is exacerbated by the increase in the death rate due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia which has reportedly reached 30,770 people as of February 3, 2021 (PPBK DPR RI, 2021).
The contribution of positive green open space for the quality of life of city residents is presently progressively significant, open space is a definite location for carrying out activities during the pandemic. However, good quality green open space is difficult to find by city residents. One of the green open spaces that take up a lot of lands in the cemetery, but the current city cemetery as part of the green open space still fails to produce its secondary function. In addition to its main purpose as a place for the burial of corpses, the cemetery may also be a social space. In addition, the funeral process is currently hampered by the implementation of health protocols, the family and relatives were also prohibited from attending the funeral procession. This happens because the system of use that is applied is still in conventional way and it is necessary to propose futuristic ideas that are constructive in order to add value to the quality of life of city residents during normal and pandemic times.
So what would architecture be able to offer? The architectural solution is in the form of a funeral program as a green open space that is able to produce social space in the form of underground vertical burial camouflage as a public open space.
