Abstract

Brau is one of the villages in Batu City which often occurs landslides. Brau is located at hilly area and is composed of Old Anjasmara Volcanic Rock. The type of soil in this village is the result of weathering of volcanic rocks which are generally permeable. The landslide that occurred in this village was caused by excessive water saturation due to rain. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the location of potential landslides using Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio analysis from microtremor data. The result of HVSR processing is natural frequency and amplification. These two parameters are used to determine the soil susceptibility index, ground shear strain, and minimum ground acceleration then the results will be formed a map. The results of microzonation of soil susceptibility index, ground shear strain, and minimum ground acceleration indicate that the northern and western Brau village area has a high potential for landslides. This is expected due to excessive water saturation in the sediment layer, therefor increasing the amplification of the soil.
