Abstract

Dengan menerapkan pendekatan architectural design of urban development (Trancik, 1986), prinsip Transit-oriented Development, metode Sustainable and efficient urban transport interchanges, pada redevelopment kawasan Stasiun Hall Kota Bandung.

A survey conducted by the Asian Development Bank in 2019 stated that Bandung was the most congested city in Indonesia as well as the 2017 Bandung Safety Annual Report Primary Survey stated that the average speed of traffic in Bandung is in the range of 14.1 km/hour. The solution to unravel congestion that is most often done is the addition of roads or the construction of flyovers, but these developments will increase residents to use and own private vehicles, so that the volume of vehicles increases and problems are reborn (induced demand). Therefore, the focus on reducing congestion by expanding roads must be changed to how people mobilize. Such mobility can be achieved by improving the way citizens mobilize by providing alternative mobilization systems,
This final project has the aim of finding ways to improve urban areas and knit integration between transit modes, transit facilities, and the surrounding building environment in an architectural design.
By applying the architectural design of urban development approach (Trancik, 1986), the principle of Transit-oriented Development, the method of Sustainable and Efficient Urban Transport Interchanges, in the redevelopment of the Bandung City Hall Station area. Designing a mobility hub at a transit node in the city center and through the criteria that are processed into a unified form and system so that it is expected to be able to increase urban mobility in the city of Bandung.
