Abstract
Stachytarpheta jamaicensis merupakan salah satu spesies dari famili Verbenanceae yang tumbuh subur di daerah tropis dan subtropis. S. jamaicensis di Indonesia dikenal dengan nama pecut kuda. Tanaman tersebut memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri, antijamur, dan antiinflamatori. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan isolasi senyawa metabolit sekunder dari fraksi etil asetat pada ekstrak metanol daun S. jamaicensis. Proses fraksinasi dilakukan dengan kromatografi kolom gravitasi (KKG). Selanjutnya monitoring dilakukan pada tiap fraksi dengan kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT). Identifikasi senyawa dilakukan dengan spektroskopi 1H dan 13C NMR. Senyawa murni yang didapatkan adalah di-(2-etil-3-metilheksil) ftalat yang diperoleh dalam bentuk minyak dengan berat 30 mg.

Stachytarpheta jamaicensis is a species of the family Verbenaceae
that thrives in the tropics and subtropics. S. jamaicensis in
Indonesia is known as pecut kuda. The plant has antibacterial,
antifungal, and antiinflamatory activity. In this study has been
successful isolated of ompound from the ethyl acetate fraction in
the methanol extract of S. jamaicensis leaves. The fractionation
prosess was carried out by gravity column chromatography
(KKG). Furthermore, monitoring was carried out on each fraction
by thin layer chromatography (TLC). Identification of compound
using 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The pure isolated compound
was di-(2-ethyl-3-methylhexyl) phthalate was obtained in the form
of 30 milligrams of oil.
