Abstract
Penggunaan Gas Bumi sangat luas, banyak calon pelanggan terutama pada pelanggan-pelanggan kecil dan komersial yang membutuhkan gas bumi tetapi tidak pada jaringan gas bumi sehingga mereka tidak dapat merasakan manfaat gas bumi, oleh karena itu dilakukan pengembangan sistem distribusi yang mampu untuk mendistribusikan gas secara otomatis dan akurat. Pada perancangan ini dibuat prototype sistem distribusi gas menggunakan PID Controller untuk menentukan presisi suatu sistem instrumentasi dengan karakteristik umpan balik. Sehingga apabila suatu sensor mendeteksi adanya kekurangan kinerja suatu sistem, maka tindakan pengontrolan bisa dilakukan secara otomatis. Penggunaan PID Controller dalam sistem kontrol flow pada pipa gas menggunakan PLC dilakukan pengujian metode PID dengan input berupa aliran Gas, dari hasil pengujian didapatkan Kp = 31.14, Ki = 7.7 dan Kd = 31.14. Pada set point 100L/s didapatkan hasil rise time 0.155s, peak time 5.85s, settling time 13.42s, steady state 15.7s dengan overshoot sebesar 7%.

The use of natural gas is so widespread, many prospective customers are mainly small and commercial customers who need natural gas but not on the natural gas network so they cannot feel the benefits of natural gas, therefore the development of distribution systems that are able to distribute gas automatically and accurately. In this design, a prototype of the gas distribution system uses a PID Controller to determine the precision of an instrumentation system with feedback characteristics. So that if a sensor detects a lack of performance of a system, then control actions can be done automatically. The use of PID Controller in the flow control system in gas pipes using PLC is done testing pid method with input in the form of gas flow, from the test results obtained Kp = 31.14, Ki = 7.7 and Kd = 31.14. At set point 100L/s obtained a rise time result of 0.155s, peak time 5.85s, settling time 13.42s, steady state 15.7s with overshoot of 7%.
