Abstract
Kondisi optimum adsorben kulit pisang yang diaktivasi dengan NaCl pada suhu 120 oC telah ditentukan untuk menurunkan konsentrasi ion kromium (VI) dalam larutan aqueous. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode batch dengan parameter variasi konsenstrasi NaCl sebagai aktivator adsorben, variasi pH adsorbat dan variasi waktu kontak. Filtrat hasil adsorpsi diukur dengan menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA) pada panjang gelombang maksimum 357,9 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi NaCl optimum untuk aktivasi adsorben kulit pisang adalah 0,5 M. Adsorpsi optimum terjadi pada pH 2 dan waktu kontak 120 menit dengan persen pengurangan 96,41%.

The optimum condition of banana peel adsorbent activated by NaCl in temperature of 120 oC was obtained to remove chromium (VI) ion in aqueous solution. The method used in this experiment was batch adsorption method with parameters of variation of NaCl concentration as adsorbent activator, variation of pH of adsorbate and variation of contact time. Filtrate from the adsorption was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with maximum wavelength of 357.9 nm. The result of the experiment showed the optimum concentration of NaCl to activate the banana peel adsorbent was 0.5 M. Optimum adsorption occurred in the pH of 2 and contact time of 120 minutes with the removal percentage of 96.41%.
