Abstract

Pengembangan industri kimia sangat penting dikarenakan dapat mengurangi pengeluaran devisa negara untuk mengimpor bahan-bahan yang dibutuhkan oleh penduduk Indonesia. Dengan adanya pengembangan di dunia industri kimia, diharapkan Indoensia dapat menjadi negara yang mandiri karena tidak lagi bergantung pada industri-industri diluar negeri. Salah satu industry yang perlu dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah pigmen besi oksida. Permintaan pigmen besi oksida secara global di industri konstruksi, cat, dan plastik mengalami peningkatan, sehingga diperkirakan akan mendorong pertumbuhan pasar selama delapan tahun ke depan. Dimana, pasar pigmen besi oksida global didominasi oleh Asia Pasifik dan menyumbang 40,7% dari industri pada tahun 2015 karena infrastruktur yang tumbuh dan industrialisasi yang pesat, terutama di negara-negara seperti China dan India.
Pabrik Pigmen Besi Oksida dari Besi Oksida yang berasal dari limbah direncanakan mulai dibangun pada tahun 2022 dengan kapasitas 5060,33 ton/tahun. Dikarenakan pabrik pigmen menggunakan bahan baku yang berasal dari produk samping PT. Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA), maka lokasi yang dipilih adalah di dekat PT. ICA yaitu di Tayan, Kalimantan Barat. Pabrik pigmen besi oksida yang didirikan akan dioperasikan selama 330 hari selama satu tahun. Proses produksi akan dibagi menjadi beberapa tahap yaitu pre- treatnent, presipitasi, flitrasi, drying, milling.
Pabrik pigmen besi oksida yang didirikankan membutuhkan capital expenditure (CAPEX) Rp 368.137.478.222,8 dan memiliki operating expenditre (OPEX) Rp 145.255.314.582,13 dengan IRR sebesar 37,04%, Break Even Point (BEP) sebesar 39,11% dan waktu pengembalian modal selama 4 Tahun 2 Bulan. Sehingga dari analisa yang didapat bahwa pabrik pigmen besi oksida ini layak dididrikan dari segi teknikal maupun dari segi finansial sangat feasible untuk didirikan dan dioperasikan.

The development of the chemical industry is very important because it can reduce the country's foreign exchange expenditures to import materials needed by the Indonesian population. With the development in the chemical industry, it is hoped that Indonesia can become an independent country because it is no longer dependent on foreign industries. One of the industries that need to be developed in Indonesia is iron oxide pigments. The global demand for iron oxide pigments in the construction, paint, and plastics industries is increasing, so it is expected to drive market growth over the next eight years. Where, the global iron oxide pigment market is dominated by the Asia Pacific and accounted for 40.7% of the industry in 2015 due to growing infrastructure and rapid industrialization, especially in countries such as China and India.
The Iron Oxide Pigment Plant from Iron Oxide originating from waste is planned to start construction in 2022 with a capacity of 5060.33 tons/year. Because the pigment factory uses raw materials derived from by-products of PT. Indonesia Chemical Alumina (ICA), the location chosen is near PT. ICA is in Tayan, West Kalimantan. The iron oxide pigment plant established will be operated for 330 days for one year. The production process will be divided into several stages, namely pre-treatment, precipitation, filtration, drying, milling.
The iron oxide pigment factory established requires a capital expenditure (CAPEX) of IDR 368,137,478,222.8 and has an operating expense (OPEX) of IDR 145,255,314,582.13 with an IRR of 37.04%, Break-Even Point (BEP) of 39.11%, and payback period for 4 years 2 months. So from the analysis, it is found that this iron oxide pigment factory is feasible from a technical and financial point of view, it is very feasible to establish and operate.
