Abstract

Graben Rangau merupakan salah satu graben yang terdapat pada Cekungan Sumatera Tengah. Terdapat 33 sumur yang belum dikembangkan pada graben ini. Salah satu sumur yang memiliki potensial hidrokarbon adalah sumur UN-1 yang akan menjadi fokus penelitian ini. Sumur UN-1 memiliki tiga marker zona resevoir yang diidentifikasi berada pada formasi Upper Red Bed, Grup Pematang tepatnya diantara umur sequence boundary 25 – 30 yakni RZ 90, RZ 57, dan RZ 71 yang terendapkan pada fase syn-rift umur Eosen – Oligosen. Walaupun penelitian hanya dilakukan pada sumur UN-1, pada proses pengolahan data digunakan 4 sumur lain yang dekat dengan sumur UN-1 sebagai pengontrol yang juga menembus hingga formasi Upper Red Bed, Grup Pematang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi karakteristik reservoir berdasarkan persebaran nilai impedansi akustik yang diperoleh dari proses inversi seismik dan prediksi persebaran porositas menggunakan multi atribut, dimana hasil cube impedansi akustik tersebut digunakan sebagai input dalam proses analisis multi atribut sebagai atribut eksternal. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa RZ 90 pada sumur UN-1 memiliki rentang nilai impedansi akustik dari rendah sampai tinggi sebesar ± 25000 – 37000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), dengan rentang nilai porositas sebesar ± 0.12 – 0.2 (fraction) dan arah persebaran reservoir dari utara – barat laut sumur UN-1. RZ 57 memiliki rentang nilai impedansi akustik sebesar ± 25000 – 32000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), dengan didominasi dengan nilai porositas 0.13 (fraction) dan arah persebarannya timur laut – barat daya sumur UN-1. Sedangkan untuk RZ 71 memiliki rentang nilai impedansi akustik sebesar ± 25000 – 30000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), dengan dominasi nilai porositas sebesar 0.15 (fraction) dengan arah persebaran timur laut – barat daya sumur UN-1.

Rangau Graben is one of the half grabens in the Central Sumatra Basin, where there are 33 undeveloped wells. One of the potential zone has been identified in UN-1 well which will be presented in this study. In this well, there are three reservoir zones marker that has been identified in Upper Red Bed Formation of Pematang Group in sequence boundaries age between 25 – 30, namely RZ 90, RZ 57, and RZ 71 which was deposited in the syn-rift phase in Eocene – Oligocene age. Though only UN-1 that will be studied, in this study we used 4 other wells near UN-1 as a controller, which also penetrated to Upper Red Bed Formation of Pematang Group. The aims of this study are to predicts reservoir characteristics based on the acoustic impedance value distribution from seismic inversion using model based method and estimate the porosity distribution using multi attribute, where the acoustic impedance cube is used as an input as external attribute for multi attribute analysis. Results shows that RZ 90 has low to high acoustic impedance value range between ± 25000 – 32000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), where porosity value between ± 0.12 – 0.2 (fraction), and the reservoir distribution is from north to northwest well UN-1. RZ 57 has acoustic impedance range between ± 25000 – 32000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), with porosity value are dominated with porosity value of 0.13 (fraction) and reservoir distribution from northeast to southeast. RZ 71 has acoustic impedance range between ± 25000 – 30000 (ft/s)*(g/cc), with porosity value are dominated with 0.15 (fraction) and reservoir distribution from northeast – southwest.
