Abstract
Definisi dari sekolah merupakan suatu lembaga atau bangunan yang dipakai untuk aktivitas atau kegiatan belajar serta mengajar sesuai dengan jenjang pendidikannya (SD, SLTP, SLTA), menurut Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI). Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP/SLTP) dilaksanakan setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan sekolah Dasar (SD) atau sederajat yaitu dalam kurun waktu 3 tahun, mulai dari kelas 7 sampai kelas 9.
SMPN 1 Kediri merupakan salah satu sekolah menengah negeri terbaik yang ada di Kota Kediri. SMPN 1 Kediri terletak di Jalan Diponegoro No.26 Kediri, letaknya strategis berada di jantung Kota Kediri. Dikatakan sekolah terbaik karena telah dibuktikan melalui prestasi dan berbagai penghargaan yang telah diraih oleh sekolah maupun siswa dan gurunya. Salah satu penghargaan yang diraih oleh SMPN 1 Kediri yaitu mendapat penghargaan sebagai Sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional. Menurut Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Republik Indonesia Nomor 05 pada Tahun 2013 tentang Pedoman Pelaksanaan Program Adiwiyata menyatakan bahwa sekolah adiwiyata merupakan sekolah yang peduli serta berbudaya lingkungan dan juga program adiwiyata ialah suatu program untuk dapat mewujudkan sekolah yang peduli serta juga berbudaya lingkungan.
Berdasarkan analisis dan metodologi yang telah dilakukan terhadap objek desain, diperoleh konsep perancangan “Desain Interior SMPN 1 Kediri dengan Konsep Eco Technology untuk Menciptakan Linkungan Prestatif”. Dengan diterapkannya desain ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan juga mampu mewujudkan generasi yang peduli serta berbudaya lingkungan.

The definition of the school is an institution or a building that is used for the activity or activities of learning and teaching in accordance with the level of education (elementary, junior, senior), according to Big Indonesian Dictionary ( KBBI). Junior High School (JHS) is implemented after completing elementary school education (ES) or its equivalent in a period of 3 years, starting from grade 7 to grade 9.
JHS 1 Kediri is one of the best public high schools in Kediri City. JHS 1 Kediri is located at Diponegoro St. No.26 Kediri, strategically located in the heart of Kediri City. It is said to be the best school because it has been proven through achievements and various awards that have been achieved by the school as well as students and teachers. One of the awards achieved by JHS 1 Kediri is getting an award as a National Adiwiyata School. According to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Indonesia Number 05 in 2013 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of the Adiwiyata Program, it is stated that the Adiwiyata school is a school that cares about and is environmentally cultured and also the Adiwiyata program is a program to be able to create schools that care and are also environmentally cultured.
Based on the analysis and methodology that has been carried out on the design object, the design concept of "Interior Design of JHS 1 Kediri with Eco Technology Concepts to Create an Achievement Environment is obtained". With the implementation of this design, it is expected to be able to improve the quality of education and also be able to create a generation that cares and is environmentally cultured.
