Abstract

Model matematika dibentuk berdasarkan tiga akad, yaitu
wakalah murni, mudharabah murni, dan wakalah berbasis
wakaf.

The Determination of optimal incentives aims to improve
operator performance, given that the premium collection
paid by participants remains the property of participants
and the operators just manage the financial of insurance.
The mathematical model is formed based on three contracts, namely pure wakalah, pure mudharabah, and waqf-wakalah. This study concludes that in the three models, operators will not receive additional incentives when increasing their effort in the underwriting process. The pure wakalah and waqf-wakalah models can motivate operators to increase the number of takaful pool until they reach the optimal number of participants, but the pure wakalah model will not provide additional incentives when operators invest the takaful funds, whereas waqf-based wakalah does the opposite. Both models provide the same α optimal, it is 0,25, with the optimal additional number of participants, that is 50 people. Whereas in the pure mudharabah model, the operator does not have an incentive to increase the number of participants in a takaful pool.
