Abstract
Kereta api merupakan salah satu transportasi umum yang diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia, berdasarkan data Kementerian Perhubungan Direktorat Jenderal Perkeretaapian sepanjang tahun 2015 hingga 2019 terdapat peningkatan jumlah signifikan penumpang yang di angkut tiap tahunya dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan sebesar 8,61% pertahun. Terjadi berbagai kecelakaan antar kereta yang terjadi setiap tahunnya hingga saat ini, sepanjang tahun 2015 hingga 2019 telah terjadi total 112 kecelakan kereta,. Sebagai bentuk usaha dalam meningkatkan layanan dan perkembangan teknologi pemerintah Indonesia melalui PT. Kereta Api Indonesia melakukan kerjasama dengan Japan International Cooperation Agency, kerjasama tersebut berupa layanan kereta semi-cepat yang menghubungkan kota Surabaya – Jakarta. Salah satu bagian yang berperan penting terhadap keamanan kereta adalah penghubung antara gerbong kereta yang disebut coupler, fungsi dari coupler adalah sebagai penghubung antar gerbong kereta,
Penelitian dilakukan studi numerik untuk mengetahui perilaku kereta rangkaian 2 gerbong ketika dilakukan pengereman dan bertumbukan dengan kereta lain yang dimodelkan berupa sebuah lokomotif menggunakan perangkat lunak MatlabR2021a –SIMULINK. Simulasi dilakukan dengan variasi kecepatan sebelum terjadinya tumbukan 100, 80, dan 60 km/jam. Masa gerbong divariasikan berbeda-beda tiap gerbongnya, untuk variasi masa pertama gerbong 1 terisi 50 %, untuk gerbong 2 terisi 25 %, untuk variasi masa kedua gerbong 1 terisi 25 % sedangkan gerbong 2 terisi 75%, dan untuk variasi masa ketiga garbong 1 terisi 100% dan gerbong 2 terisi 100%
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan variasi kecepatan mempengaruhi gaya coupler pada saat bertumbukan dengan kereta lain. Nilai variasi kecepatan semakin tinggi maka perpindahan setelah tumbukan semakin kecil dan gaya coupler semakin besar. Penambahan variasi masa pada rangkaian kereta saat bertumbukan mempengaruhi gaya yang diterima pada coupler, percepatan, dan kecepatan yang dialami kereta. Coupler 1 menerima gaya yang paling besar pada kereta variasi masa ketiga menumbuk lokomotif dengan kecepatan 80 km/jam sebesar 1689,2 kn (tekan) . Coupler 2 menerima gaya paling besar pada kereta variasi masa kedua menumbuk lokomotif dengan kecepatan 100 km/jam sebesar 744,5 kn (tekan).

This research is a numerical study to determine the behavior of a 3-series train when braking and colliding with another train modeled as a locomotive using MatlabR2021a –SIMULINK software. Simulations were carried out with variations of the initial velocity before the collision of 100, 80, and 60 km/hour. The mass of the carriage varies according to the type of carriage, for the first mass variation, carriage 1 is filled by 50% passangers, for carriage 2, it is filled by 25% passangers, for the second mass variation, carriage 1 is filled by 25% passangers, while carriage 2 is 75% filled by passsangers, and for the third mass variation, both carriage is filled. by 100% passangers.
The result of this research is that the addition of speed variations affects the coupler force when colliding with other trains. The higher the velocity variation value, the smaller the displacement after the collision and the larger the coupler force. The addition of mass variations in the train series when colliding affects the force received on the coupler, acceleration, and the speed experienced by the train. Coupler 1 receives the greatest force on the third mass train variation hitting the locomotive with an initial speed of 80 km / h of 1689.2 kn (Press) . Coupler 2 receives the greatest force on the second mass train variation hitting the locomotive with an initial speed of 100 km/h of 744.5 kn (compression).
