Abstract

Tingkat pengangguran terbuka merupakan indikator yang digunakan untuk mengukur banyaknya angkatan kerja yang tidak terserap pada pasar kerja. Tingkat pengangguran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi mengalami peningkatan tertingi dalam kurun waktu 2017 hingga 2020 yaitu sebesar 32,56 persen. Cara mengatasi agar tingkat pengangguran terbuka menurun adalah dengan mencari faktor-faktor yang mempe-ngaruhinya. Dengan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ting-kat pengangguran terbuka dapat dilakukan tindakan yang lebih spesifik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi tingkat pengangguran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi tahun 2017 hingga tahun 2020 menggunakan regresi data panel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa tingkat pengangguran terbuka, kepadatan penduduk dan angkatan kerja tertinggi di Provinsi Jambi terdapat pada Kota Jambi, sedangkan PDRB tertinggi terdapat pada Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dan rata-rata tertinggi TPAK di Provinsi Jambi terdapat pada Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Model terbaik adalah dengan estimasi FEM efek waktu. Pemodelan tersebut diperoleh variabel yang berpengaruh terhadap tingkat pengang-guran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi adalah TPAK dan kepadatan penduduk menghasilkan kebaikan model sebesar 68,42%.

The open unemployment rate is an indicator used to measure the number of workers who are not absorbed in the labor market. The open unemployment rate in Jambi Province experienced the highest increase in the period 2017 to 2020, which was 32,56 percent. The way to overcome the open unemployment rate is to look for the factors that influence it. By knowing the factors that affect the open unemployment rate, more specific actions can be taken. Therefore, further research is needed to determine the factors that are thought to affect the open unemployment rate in Jambi Province from 2017 to 2020 using panel data regression. Based on the result of the study, it was found that highest open unemployment rate, population density and labor force in Jambi Province were in Jambi City while the highest GDRP was in West Tanjung Jabung Regency and the highest average Labor Force Participation Rate in Jambi Province was in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The best model is to estimate the time effect FEM. The modeling obtained that the variables that affect the open unemployment rate in Jambi Province are Labor Force Participation Rate and population density resulting in a goodness of 68,42%.
