Abstract

Energy has an important and inseparable role in human life. As the population increases, the energy required is increasing. Currently, most of the energy sources used in Indonesia are nonrenewable energy sources. However, if non-renewable energy sources are used continuously, of course they will run out. In addition, the achievement of renewable energy sources has not yet reached the target. Therefore, it is necessary to do the diversification energy sources. Diversification is carried out so that the supply of energy sources can meet energy demand. To do this, optimal control IS carried out using Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC) on the level of production of renewable and nonrenewable energy sources. In this final project, using two scenarios. The first scenario when the reference is a predefined value. The second scenario is when the reference changes with time. The results obtained, NMPC is able to perform optimal control, so that the production level of both energy sources reaches the desired reference. In addition, it also shows the percentage growth of renewable and nonrenewable energy sources that must be achieved every year in order to achieve the desired reference.
